Liberation Programs is currently looking for a part-time Physician Assistants to join our Outpatient Clinics and Mobile Outreach that provides lifesaving access to Medicated Assisted Treatment, primarily in our Bridgeport location.

Job Description:

This role is responsible for carrying out the physician's orders regarding administration of medications - including Methadone, Buprenorphine (Suboxone), and Naltrexone (Vivitrol injection). The purpose of this role is to enhance lifelong recovery of the people that we serve by providing psychiatric evaluations and ongoing medication management to anyone identified as needing mental health services, as evidenced by one of the agency's assessment tools. In addition to evaluating, prescribing & documenting, this role will be crucial in helping counselors conduct proper care coordination and discharge planning by providing linkages to outside providers.


  • Ensure that a medical evaluation, including a medical history and physical examination has bee performed at admission and annually
  • Ensures our orders comply with State Regulations and HIPAA Standards.
  • Ensure recoveree safety and care integration by consulting as required with primary care, behavioral health care and other treatment providers both internal and external to LPI
  • Consult and collaborate with other members of the integrated care team
  • Document all encounters in the medical record, update the Medication list & complete Medication management treatment plans and updates
  • Follow the agency's established policies and processes for delivery of services, documentation, admission and discharge

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Current DEA License
  • Current X Waiver
  • Experience as a PA or APRN in Medicated Assisted Treatment
  • Licensed in State of CT
  • Kind, Compassionate and Mission-driven
