The Assistant Director of Outpatient Clinical Services in Stamford is responsible for ensuring that the provision of clinical services meets agency policies, procedures, and regulatory/accrediting body standards. The Assistant Director is also responsible for supporting management of the day to day operations of the program, including, but not limited to providing supervision and guidance to the counselors, conducting regular chart audits, managing and organizing the treatment and staff schedule, and ensuring reports and data entry is timely and efficient. The Assistant Director will assist with managing client crisis, incidents, and grievances while ensuring proper procedures are followed.

Duties Responsibilities

  • Assist with the supervision, performance management, daily reporting, and completion of evaluations for clinical staff and interns
  • Participate in agency's policy and procedure process, and oversee grievance and incident process
  • Ensure adherence to Liberation Programs standards of access, engagement, and service, including through conducting chart reviews and preparation for audits
  • Assist with resource planning, recruiting employees, and ensuring departments are staffed with sufficient and qualified personnel
  • Coordinate and supervise staff, ensure appropriate training opportunities, and plan and oversee all client care
  • Monitor compliance with legal guidelines, adhere to policies and quality standards, and assist in the grievance and incident processes.
  • Assist in implementation of new integrated electronic health record, including training of staff and system refinement

Assistant Director Requirements

  • Must have a current license from the state of CT (LADC, LMFT, LPC and/or LCSW), and related Masters degree.
  • 3 years of experience in clinical supervision
  • In-depth knowledge of relevant DMHAS, DPH, SAMHSA and CARF regulations
  • Strong knowledge of Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) and behavioral health
  • Must have a work history that demonstrates clear leadership, accomplishment & the ability to get work accomplished on time, on budget and within predetermined specifications
  • Must have strong oral and written communications skills along with the interpersonal skills to work effectively at all levels of the organization and its stakeholders
