HR/Finance Office Assistant Temporary Position, FT/PT-Temporary Available Immediately for our Admin Office in Norwalk! May be considered for permanent position in the future. Background in non-profit HR and Finance ideal. Must be detail-oriented, highly organized, and skilled in data-entry.

Major Duties & Responsibilities, reporting to the HR Director:

  • Assists with ensuring that agency payroll is processed according to state and federal law and agency policy, including employee updates to agency payroll system, ensuring that all information is accurate and entered in a timely fashion
  • Assists with Reimbursement, Expenses, and other Finance related tasks requiring accurate data entry
  • Creates and maintains online files using Microsoft Teams, including digital HR files.
  • Assists with recruiting and new hire on-boarding process, and ensuring that all staff have a documented complete agency orientation.
  • Assists with compliance and tracking process for personnel files and Annual Performance Appraisals.
  • Submits employee data reports by assembling, preparing, and analyzing data.
  • Maintains employee confidence and protects operations by keeping all information confidential in accordance with organization standards.
  • Duties and projects as assigned and prioritized by the HR Director, supporting HR, Finance and Admin.

Education, Skills, Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher education in Human Resources Management, Business or similar degree. Professional certification a plus (PHR/SPHR).
  • A minimum of two years experience in the Human Resources field, preferably in a healthcare or non-profit agency, and experience in Payroll/Finance
  • Strong organizational skills and abilities to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines while providing exceptional customer service
  • Knowledge of CT state and federal labor law preferred
  • Excellent computer skills
